Project Name:
Forest Glen Solar Farm Connection Infrastructure.
Project Location:
Located within the Dubbo Regional Local Government Area (LGA) and Central-West Orana region, which the NSW Government has identified as a Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).
Project Context:
This Project will generate enough clean, renewable energy for approx. 40,000 average NSW homes, displacing approx. 164,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum (currently generated by non-renewable sources).
Approximately 110 megawatts (MW, DC) is expected to be generated from the Solar Farm for direct supply to the national energy grid.
The Forest Glen Solar Farm seeks to:
- Assist to mitigate the effects of climate change through the transition to renewable energy
- Provide local and regional employment opportunities and other social benefits during the construction and operation of the facility
- Include on site energy storage to support the high voltage transmission network.
Intium's Role in the Project:
Design, construct, own, operate and maintain connection infrastructure for the Forest Glen Solar Farm 132/33kV 120MVA power transformer, 33kV switchboard and associated building, civil and secondary systems. And future proof the initial infrastructure for a later addition of Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS).
Intium is designing, constructing, commissioning, operating and de commissioning the network infrastructure connecting to the Forest Glen Solar Farm. Including the construction, long-term operation and decommissioning of a ground-mounted PV solar array.
Timing of Intium's Deliverables:
12 month delivery from commencement of construction to energisation. Commenced February 2024.

Enabling a complete building that is fully Factory Acceptance Tested (FAT) prior to shipping to site.
The innovation delivered by Initum has significantly improved outcomes for the client, reducing project delivery timeframes by a staggering 20%.
